OpenRoad Foundation's Landmark Initiative
Celebrating a quarter century of operations, OpenRoad Group is putting its core values into action with a generous philanthropic effort. Through its charitable arm, the OpenRoad Foundation, the organization has launched the '25 in 25' grant initiative. This program will disperse 25 grants, each amounting to $25,000, to non-profit organizations in the Vancouver and Toronto regions—totaling a substantial $625,000 earmarked for community empowerment.
Empowering Communities for the Future
Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Group and chair of the OpenRoad Foundation board, emphasized the company's commitment not just to its commercial success but also to social impact. “Our 25th anniversary is an opportunity to not only celebrate our past achievements but also to take responsibility for fostering positive change,” Chia stated. With this initiative, OpenRoad aims to partner with 25 organizations, helping them achieve their community-oriented goals.
Guiding Principles of Support
The selection process for the grants focuses on three pillars: Community, Environment, and Education. These guiding principles reflect OpenRoad's dedication to enabling individuals and milieus to reach their full potential, support ecological sustainability, and foster educational and leadership success. Shea Studler, the foundation manager, encourages eligible organizations to apply, emphasizing that the effort mirrors the Foundation's values of meaningful contributions.
Pioneering Charity Support Since 2023
Since its establishment in 2023, the OpenRoad Foundation has already contributed over $750,000 to various non-profit institutions in British Columbia and Ontario. This track record underscores the foundation's dedication to philanthropy and community advancement. By leveraging their 25th-anniversary celebrations, OpenRoad is doubling down on its vision for societal improvement.
